Lead ClassGear's relationships with schools and districts, turning grassroots teacher adoption into official district-level partnerships.

About the role

Teachers are already bringing ClassGear into their classrooms on their own. As Head of Sales & Partnerships, your job is to build the relationships — with school administrators, districts, and PTA/PTO organizations — that turn that grassroots momentum into formal, sustained partnerships.

This is a builder role: you'll define the district partnership playbook, run point on outreach and negotiation, and represent ClassGear at the table with school leadership.

What you'll do

  • Build and own the strategy for school and district partnerships from the ground up
  • Identify and prioritize target districts based on existing teacher usage and growth potential
  • Lead outreach, pitch, and negotiation with school administrators and district decision-makers
  • Develop partnership materials, pricing structures, and agreements suited to school procurement processes
  • Represent ClassGear at education conferences, PTA/PTO events, and district meetings
  • Build feedback loops with teachers and schools to inform the product roadmap
  • Report on pipeline, partnership health, and growth metrics to leadership

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in sales, partnerships, or business development, ideally in K-12 edtech
  • Experience navigating school district procurement and decision-making processes
  • Strong relationship-building skills with educators and school administrators
  • Comfortable owning a pipeline independently in an early-stage, resource-lean environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice to have

  • Existing relationships with school districts or education associations
  • Background as a teacher, administrator, or in school operations
  • Experience launching a partnerships function at a startup
